Welcome to the official website of Scottish Actor Stewart Robertson.
So, not been too much happening recently in the form of "paid" work, but still lots going on behind the scenes. I've been working very closely with Alan McDonald on a few things and recently filmed a pilot attempt at a comedy show. "Podding Along" has received some great feedback, but there's still a bit of work to be done. We're fairly confident with a bit of work, we can have a show with huge potential on our hands.
Who am i then?
Since graduating from Queen Margaret University with a BA Acting in 2007, I have taken on a fair number challenging roles in TV, film and Theatre.
My most recent TV appearance was a walk on role in BBC 3's highly acclaimed drama "Lip Service" This show aired in autumn of 2010 and was great fun to work on. Filming is starting very soon on season 2 and I'm certain it will be every bit as good as the first
I can count myself found myself very lucky in that i have also rubbed shoulders with the likes of Michael Sheen and the Oscar Winning, Jim Broadbent when I played Archie Gemmill in the major feature film "The Damned United", which was released in March 2009 and is now available on DVD.The Damned United was directed by one Tom Hooper who recently won the Oscar for 'best director' for his efforts on The Kings Speech. Congratulations Tom.
My TV debut in 2007 saw me join the cast of one of my favourite comedy shows, "Still Game". Still my favourite of all the roles i've taken. Thouroughly enjoyable time on set and just great guys to work with. Wish they would bring that show back!!
Highlights
Other highlights in my career so far include taking part in the Sam Wanamaker festival at the Globe Theatre in London, where I played Angelo in "Measure for Measure" and my involvement with the audio only podcast series "Afterlives" where I get to play the bad guy - a twisted Angel called Nathaniel.
In 2006 I was very proud to receive The Sir John Gielgud Award - a bursary given to promising drama students.
Hope you like the website and dont forget to come back soon for regular updates.
